ACUS' Rod Guide Heavy was developed for use with disposable grips.
The rod guide is the part that connects the machine body to the grip. Normal machines are equipped with aluminum rod guides, but this one is made of stainless steel and is three times heavier.
Disposable grips are lightweight because they are made of plastic. This makes the total weight of the machine lighter, and the center of gravity tends to move backwards, causing poor balance.
When using disposable grips, you can restore the balance by replacing the rod guide with a heavy stainless steel rod guide.
It comes in a special case, so it is convenient to carry and can be stored cleanly.
