Edo Horihiro's paintings are a pop fusion of tradition and innovation, retaining the classical beauty of Ukiyo-e while reinterpreting famous subjects in a modern style and vividly depicting contemporary customs.
Born in 1981, Hiro Edo Sculpture has been creating for 20 years, with a love of Japanese tattoos and ukiyo-e woodblock prints. In this book, many of the works he has done so far are completed in one overwhelming volume of more than 300 pages.
At the end of the book, there is a rough sketch of a classic tattoo and a photo of an actual tattoo on the back of a person's body. It is a modern classic style that brings new life to the tradition while respecting the charm of traditional Japanese tattooing and enjoying the tradition.
